ciao cerco le persone con cui posso parlare in italiano
perchè pian piano sto dimenticando come a farlo
(è un problema serio)
this weekend will be very hot here in germany during the AnimagiC convention again.
so, as a local, i kind of think it is necessary to tell you this:
no matter how hot it gets please DON’T GO SWIMMING IN THE RHINE.
alot of non-locals and tourists don’t know about this and go in there.
However, the rhine is not only really dirty and therefore dangerous to your health from all the boat fuel in there but it also has really dangerous (underwater) flows.
at some parts of the shore it’s even enough to just put a finger in the water and it will pull you down.
so, if you see anyone going swimming there, please ask them to back to the shore politely.
Don’t go swimming there yourself.
you can put your feet in there but anything above your knees is risky.
If you see someone in danger call 112 immediately and don’t try to help them yourself, you would need a boat for that .
bring enough water or go buy some nice cone of ice cream in the city.
stay in the cooling shadows of the trees.
and yes, it is true that no one has died there yet during AnimagiC. however, we locals are still puzzled about how since the city declared this part of the shore as UNSAFE FOR SWIMMERS. and every summer there are about 10 people drowning in the cologne-bonn region in the rhine alone.
so don’t be the first one to drown during animagic.
